Help donate money to lung cancer
Oct 30 2009, 11:57 PM EDT
I recently accepted the challenge to raise money and help the fight against lung cancer through the National Lung Cancer Partnership and Free to Breathe. My mother had lung cancer for 4 years and she passed away May 30, 2009. I am doing this in memory of her. Please support me in this incredibly important effort by making a donation today or signing up for our team-Cowgirl Up. Your contribution will help empower patients, save lives and make lung cancer a priority! It's faster and easier than ever to support this great cause. Make your tax-deductible donation online by visiting my personal page. If you prefer, you may send your contribution by mail to the address listed below using this downloadable donation form: National Lung Cancer Partnership 22 N. Midvale Blvd., Suite 6 Madison, WI 53705 My teams website is http://participate.freetobreathe.org/site/TR?team_id=6130&pg=team&fr_id=1137 Your gift will make a difference in the lives of many and any amount, great or small, helps in the fight. I greatly appreciate your support. Lung cancer kills approximately 160,000 people in the United States each year—more people than breast, colon, and prostate cancers combined. It is responsible for over a quarter of all cancer-related deaths in the U.S. each year. Lung cancer is a very common disease – approximately 219,000 people each year in the United States will be diagnosed with it. It is also a very lethal disease – roughly 85% of people who are diagnosed with lung cancer will die of it within five years of their initial diagnosis For information about the National Lung Cancer Partnership and its programs, visit www.NationalLungCancerPartnership.org or www.FreetoBreathe.org.
