RE: gland in thoeat
Jul 24 2006, 11:48 AM EDT I was diagnosed with a nasal polyup, then my condition became worse. I had a lump on my neck, thyroid region, under my arms. I returned to my doctor and had a CAT scan then I had a biopsy. I was then diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Seven months of Chemo and five months of radiation. So many patients must go for years of chemo and radiation...but because It was detected in it's early stages I didnt need years of chemo and radiation. I've been on remission for 5 years now.
This is not a joke. You should get checked by your doctor asap. Please make an appontment with your doctor. The sooner the better. I was lucky to have seen my doctor when I did. I remember my Doctor saying, "If you choose to decline the chemo and radiation...you will have 6 - 12 months to live.
If you could have non hodgkins lymphoma-
Don't wait for it to spread...perhaps by that time it could be too late. I wish you the best.
