Started with wicked Headaches
Feb 29 2008, 4:56 PM EST For months I was told I was mentally ill, that is until they found a lump the size of a grapefruit in my nasal area. Back in 1977 it was diagnoses as stage 4 aggressive Lympho-Sarcoma. I was given less that 3 months to live. years later, after treatment, I was told I couldn't have children. Now 4 children and 3 grandchildren later, and a husband of over 30 years that has been through it all with me, I finally see how difficult it is for those around me to watch someone 'dieing' of Cancer and be completely unable to feel useful in any capacity . My Father survived his bout, and now my mother has been diagnosed with thymus cancer with no treatment options. I thought cancer was part of the past only to find out I need that past in order to comprehend what it was my parents and husband went through dealing with being on the outside looking in. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |
