"Stage 4 aggressive" lympho-sarcoma survivor

Hi, I guess I don't post much, I am pretty busy with my family. I have 4 children that were never supposed to be born, since I was not supposed to survive, back in 1977. They are my miracles and from them there are now 3 more miracles. I always thought God kept me around just so I could contribute to this world by leaving a legacy of children to carry on his work. It kept me going through the worst of times. 2 years battling my emotions as much as the unseen "Cancer".
Now I have lived long enough that my parents have been dealing with there own Cancer problems, my Dad fortunately beat his prostate cancer, now my mom is dealing with Thymus Cancer, with no treatment.
I finally have come full circle and can only now comprehend the pain they went through all those years ago with me.
I don't now if time has eased my personal memories, but being the watcher, I am finding, is far more difficult than being the patient.
I have never felt so tired of circles in life.

Hi Colette, I was looking though websites for inspirational cancer stories when I came across yours. It truly is a miracle that you are here today! A close family friend of mine was told this past Sunday that her cancer is terminal and they are giving her 6 months to live. I was wondering if you would be willing to write an email to her to boost her spirits since she is feeling down right now. If you would please email me at z103367@students.niu.edu
Thank you,
Kristen

Hi Kerrie, every day you survive, you continue a legacy of helping others. I don't believe that chance brings people into our lives. We are here to learn and teach. You are continually doing both. You are an inspiration to others & you will come across individuals that need to learn from you as you carry on living your lifestyle that has benefited your ability to survive what was considered terminal cancer. Every day you are helping others, just by being here.

Hi, my name is Karen. I am a “FOUR-TIME CANCER SURVIVOR OF CERVICAL, COLON, LIVER AND RECTAL CANCER”. I am writing this asking you to help me get my story out to the world, so that in return there will be millions of people who find Comfort, Healing and HOPE. I would love to share with you how I went from despair to joy. Our bodies are miraculous!! It's amazing how much abuse, pain, surgery, poking and prodding that a body can endure. Mine has come through 14 different surgeries in just the last 14 years.
At the age of 25, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. At 32, I was diagnosed with a Vertebral Artery Dissection in the brain. In June of 2001, at 38, I was once again diagnosed with Cancer. This time of the Colon, I prayed for God to get me through this and once again he delivered me. He wasn’t finished with me yet, so in February 2002, at 39, I was diagnosed with Cancer of the Liver. Before going into surgery for the Cancer of the Liver, the doctors told me to get my affairs in order because I probably wouldn’t make it through this time. I told them that they weren’t God, and that he would decide when it was time for me to go. Little did I know that He had more in store for me, In June of 2003, at 40, I was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer. They told me I would have a permanent colostomy and basically not much of a life. They wanted me to go to counseling, but God wanted me to be the counselor.
In conclusion, I just want to sing and share my testimony with the world. My prayer is that my book will be a blessing to you and your loved ones. It has been very healing for me to write. I look forward to sharing my whole story with you in my book: One Woman’s Story: How I Survived Cervical, Colon, Liver and Rectal Cancer. Please feel free to visit my website at www.4xcancersurvivor.com.
