Dripping chemotherapy drugs directly into the abdomen is proving to be more effective in treating ovarian cancer than pumping the drugs through the veins. The method exposes the tumor to a higher concentration of the medicine. This method has more volatile side effects during and immediately following treatment including infections and stomach pain.
