Diagnosed
I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.Biopsy. Lumpectomy. Now preparing for Mastectomy. November 05 mammo showed microcalcifications. Jan. 06 biopsies done confirmed cancer. Lumpectomy Jan. 06 came back 2 kinds of cancer grade 3.Stage so far T2 No Mx. I went in for mammo in 03 for pea size lump I felt but could not locate at doc office. Was told mammo was negative was probably a cyst and it could come back. Well I am lumpy so after that mammo in 03 I was constantly doubting what I was feeling. But in aprox. Sept. 05 I was sure I felt a lump but waited a couple of months because it was in the same area as before but bigger so I assummed from what I was told before it was a cyst but it did not go away so I went in again.
Any way I am 36 and what I would like to know is can it come from some where else or does it always start in the breast? I AM DEALING WITH IT. But I want facts and I know I have invasive adenocarcinoma but was told I have 2 kinds. But I can not get a straight answer from my surgeon or oncologist so far on the exact cancers. I have a gut feeling that it may have gone to my neck bones because for 2 years I have told my doctor that something was wrong with my neck because it is stiff and cracks several times daily. I was told only, "everyones neck cracks".
Any way I have a son who is fifteen, a daughter age 8 and a step daughter 15. I plan on fighting this 200% BUT I want Facts. How can I find out exactly what is going on. I realize doctors are busy but I want to know what I am up against so I am prepared. I expect the worst right now that way any news I get can not be worse or shocking, only better hopefully!
Any info./advice will be appreciated.
Thank you, W Ottawa 87! _______________
