It's interesting -- I never thought my life would go back to what it was pre-cancer -- and it hasn't really, but the new part, the cancer part, has become more integrated. It doesn't feel like such a misshaped piece anymore. Somehow it's become less tragic with time, I guess because I've stopped letting it be a tragedy. I guess I am 'taking back my life' from cancer.
