Feedback on online mailing lists

Some of the best online mailing lists about cancer -- or places where we have found good links to such lists -- include the following. Add your own favorites to this list!

General cancer mailing lists

  • The Association of Cancer Online Resources (ACOR) is a portal to everything cancer related. Though the large number of potential mailing lists may be overwhelming at first, the site is relatively easy to navigate.

  • ONCONEWS is a moderated electronic oncology newsletter with eight years of searchable archives.

  • Cancerindex not only links to many cancer mailing lists, but also provides short descriptions of each.

Mailing lists for specific types of cancer

  • The Breast Cancer Mailing List is an unmoderated (meaning not edited or filtered) list for those of us dealing with breast cancer. In addition to its ongoing discussion, the list has 11 years of searchable archives.

  • The Prostate-Help Discussion Group provides access to several groups for those diagnosed with prostate cancer at any level. It is a part of the non-commercial, no ads, individually owned group of Prostate-Help websites, groups, chats, research, etc. All at no cost to anyone.

Other mailing lists

  • 4Youth is a list for young people with cancer organized by the ACOR.
  • Pediatric Cancers Online Support Group is an unmoderated list organized by the ACOR for children with cancer--along with their families, friends, and physicians--to discuss all things related to childhood cancer.
