General cancer message boards

• The American Cancer Society's message boards include a number of highly active boards on a variety of cancer topics.
  
  

• People Living with Cancer is a site devoted to those of us undergoing cancer treatment. Here we can post to a wide variety of message boards.

• Healthboards has message boards for all health-related issues. There is a large selection of cancer boards on this site, as well as 10 years of searchable archives.

• WebMD's message boards include a small group of cancer message boards. They can be a bit difficult to search, however.

Message boards about specific cancer types

• CancerSource offers disease-specific message boards. Registration (which is free) is required to use the message boards.

• Breast Cancer Action Nova Scotia
  

This Canadian site has an excellent knowledge base and the support forum is incredibly worthwhile. The community is tight and yet welcoming.

• The Susan G. Komen Foundation message boards are for breast cancer patients. Though there are only a few message boards here, they are quite active.

• Lymphoma Support is a support community for people with Non-Hodgkins and Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It has searchable archives and a strong community. A good place to get questions answered.

• Johns Hopkins Online Discussion Board is a support community for ovarian cancer patients and caregivers. There is also a separate board for women with micropapillary serous carcinoma (MPSC). The main board is quite active and the community is very supportive. The MPSC board is less active, but an excellent place to learn about treatments for this rare form of ovarian cancer.

Other cancer message boards

• Chemocare is figure skater and cancer survivor Scott Hamilton's website. The site's message boards mainly discuss issues pertaining to chemotherapy.
