Colette and adult non-Hodgkin's lymphomaThis is a featured page

I have written about my experience with stage IV lympho sarcoma.

It had progressed throughout my lymphatic system and into my bones and spinal fluid. In 1977 I was given three months to live at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. I spent a year with alternative treatment before accepting traditional help. I had radiation in Hawaii then started a program put together at the St. Judes hospital. I found working with both programs was the key. I had my chemo program at the Vancouver Clinic on Heather Street. I was told I could never have children. I now have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. The treatment was controversialI as it was new, I was to be a guinea pig of sorts. Even the Doctors admitted little knowledge of the effects of the dosages of medications I was being put on.

My hope in reiterating my adventure with cancer is to inspire those that have doubts and fears, as that is natural, being a cancer surviver is a chalange and a life altering experience; it is conquerable. My journey can be read free on my website.
