I have brain cancer; Glioblastoma Multi-forma (sp?) type IV, aggressive type which can form its own blood supply. Blah.
First symptom came when on a business trip out of the country; had a "pre-seizure aura" as nausea, weird feelings, etc, went to bathroom, tried to throw up. Next thing I know, woke up in a hospital in a foreign country; spent 3 days there, was told that I had seizures while I was out. Also had an MRI, which found one "lesion" in my head, but outside my brain. After I came home, follow-up MRI found two lesions, one inside, one outside. Decided to get the biopsy; biopsy MRI found that the two lesions had merged together and become a larger mass. Scheduled brain surgery, currently recovering from this surgery. I feel like I got hit by a bus -- there was no way to see any of this coming. One silver lining: my wife and I are expecting our first child this December.
