My mom has successfully undergone removal of 3/4 of her stomach along with removal of 5 lymph nodes. After 8 wk recovery she had 5 days of chemo. She has been hospitalized for nearly 2 wks. She is semi-conscious, barely eats,can hardly talk. Five days of chemo just wiped her out. She has only one kidney. The oncologist says her reaction is is not the norm. I do not know what to think. My sisters and I and a night caregiver are with her constantly. Has anyone out ther had a similar experience?
