Hi - I'm Tabitha, 21 and a mother of one. My son was born 5.2.07 and is my miracle baby, and the light of my life. I'm soon to be married 10.11.08 - and looking forward to the day, just not the planning :) Cancer has touched my life in more ways than one... I work in medicine and deal with patients with cancer from time to time, and have had multiple family members touched with this demon - including both my parents. My mother was diagnosed last year at 43 with both Hurthle & Papillary Carcinoma of the Thyroid, and my father was just diagnosed last month at 44 with skin cancer. I have lost my paternal grandfather at 59 to Leukemia , and my paternal aunt at 47 to Leukemia (this was exceptionally hard for me to deal with, as I watched her slip away from us slowly as well as take her very last breath long with the rest of my family). For some unknown reason, God has given my family and many others this hurdle to overcome in their lives... and I don't think we'll ever know why this path has been chosen - but we are all strong enough to overcome and persevere... and that is exactly what we shall do...
