Hello Louise,
I'm in the process of looking for some informational wiki sites. I took a look around your wiki site today and I'm impressed with the great level of information you have on Cancer!
Here's why I'm on the hunt for helpful wikis: We've recently started a new wiki to help advertise wetpaint wikis across the board. It's going to be in a "classified ads" format.
The good folks at the WetpaintCentral site will be helping us market the site very soon. But at this time we are still tweaking out the submission process. We are inviting a few ~active~ wiki sites to jump on board now to help us work out those issues.
Would welcome your input if you are interested. The site addy is: http://drypaintads.wetpaint.com
Thanks in advance for your consideration.

"happy holidays. hope ur holidays are rock'n. mine are!! love michelle " Thanks so much Michelle! I'm having a really nice time -- I'm organizing a big dinner for all my friends who aren't able to go see their family this year. I think it will be a lot of fun. Happy holidays, all the best to you and your family!

Endometrial cancer
By: ,
May 30 2006, 10:24 PM EDT
"My mother was diagnosed with stage III Endometrial cancer and has had her complete hysterectomy with a 90% debulking of the tumor. She is to have chemothrapy in a couple of weeks and hopefully we'll see remission of the tumor. Any suggestions Louise? My Mom is 63 years old. Thanks for any help." Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about your mom's cancer. The good news is that endometrial cancer is considered highly curable. 90% debulking of the tumor sounds promising for her stage -- do you have any idea where the remaining tumor is?
My suggestions now would be to find out what kind of chemotherapy your mother is to receive, and read up or ask questions about potential side effects. Side-effects of chemotherapy can be very manageable now, and it is good to know what options she will have in dealing with her side-effects.
Your mom is relatively young, and with any luck she will tolerate the chemo reasonably well. What may help her through this is a support group -- is she in contact with a support group in her town? I may be able to help you locate a support group if you would like.
If you have any other questions about anything, feel free to ask. And do consider registering as a wikiCancer member -- other members and users will be able to leave suggestions for your mom on your profile page which you may find useful.
Best of luck to you and your mom.
